About ACLC
As the cases of
vehicles lifting and snatchings had assumed horrendous
proportions in Karachi over the last several years, a need to
establish a specialized investigative unit, like the Anti Car
Lifting Cell was a necessity. The unit, being an important wing
of the Capital City Police has come a long way in becoming a
specialized investigative unit dealing with a specialized crime.
Vehicle snatching and
lifting is a serious crime which continues to haunt though at an
improved level the citizens of Karachi. There is an urgent need
to reduce and eliminate this crime to an extent where driving on
the streets of Karachi would become “safe”.

A Review and Assesment
In order to get a clear
picture of the state of affairs regarding vehicular crime in
Karachi, a statistical analysis is necessary. This crime
analysis is carried out, mainly focusing upon the registered
crime in this particular head of vehicle snatchings and vehicle
theft.
This statistical
analysis is carried out by accumulating the figures of the last
six years in order for us to see the rise and fall in vehicular
crime in Karachi. This analysis is categorized in two broad
areas.

No Objection Certificate
In the Karachi city, Anti Car
Lifting Cell has a complete and upto date database of snatched /
stolen vehicles and also have vehicle checking experts who can
check physically and ensure about the vehicle’s engine and
chassis tampering / cut & weld. NOC Section of Anti Car Lifting
Cell Karachi is issuing the No Objection Certificates.

NOC ?
The following steps will help
you to get NOC easily:
ü Get self-made application form (in urdu)
ü Fill the form in urdu or english
ü Attached the following documents and submit to the same
§ Copy of Registration Book
§ Copy of CNIC
§ Original
Authority letter (if the vehicle is property of any company)
§ Copy of CNIC who will receive the NOC
Note:
ü It is mandatory, vehicle should be produced for physical checking
at ACLC
ü Sand Blasting should be present at front and rear screens

Image of Vehicle Lifters
Anti Car Lifting Cell has more than 3500 images of vehicle
lifters. ACLC is requested to all the victims to visit ACLC
computer section and recognize the vehicle lifter from the
databank.
