In case of emergency or whenever a crime incident is to be reported, where should I contact?

Dial Madadgar 15 and report in the concerned police stations.

When and where to register an F.I.R?

First Investigation Report is lodged at the concerned police station (in whose jurisdiction, the crime was committed). For a cognizable offence, a F.I.R will be registered, for a non cognizable offence; a non cognizable report shall be lodged.

What is the difference between operation and investigation branch?

The Operation branch deals with the prevention of crime and maintenance of law and order situation. Investigation branch deals with investigation, submission of challan and pursuance of cases in court. Operation branch conduct investigation of cases falling in the jurisdiction of local and special laws.

Where to contact in case of vehicle related cases?

Anti Car Lifting Cell deals with investigation of vehicle related cases. After registration of cases, concerned town in charge of A.C.L.C should be contacted.

Who are responsible officers in operation and investigation branch for customer service?

T.P.O and S.H.O from Operations branch and T.I.O and S.I.O from Investigation branch. Furthermore, a duty officer at police station and investigating officer at investigation branch can also assist in guidance.
