Sindh Police Welfare
The Welfare Branch was Established after the Framing of Sindh Police Welfare Fund Rule-1979.
The Welfare Branch is supervised by the AIGP Welfare under the Administrative Control of IGP Sindh.
- Processing of Shaheed and Injury Compensation cases.
- Processing of Benevolent Fund Cases.
- Processing of Financial Assistance cases (in case of death during service).
- Processing of Welfare Benefits i.e. Immediate Relief (Burial Charges), Marriage Grant, Retirement Grant, Financial Aid on medical ground, Scholarship Cases, Medical Financial Aid and Aid for legal / court matters.
- Supervision of industrial Home/vocational Training Centre at PHQ Garden.
- Maintaining Police Private Funds, viz Sindh Police Benevolent / Welfare Fund, Immediate Medical Relief for Injured Police personnel, etc.
- Purchase of medicines for Police Hospitals.
- Secretary to Sindh Police Benevolent / Welfare Fund Board.
- Arrangements of Police week and Sports.
- Gallantry / Civil Awards i.e. QPM, PPM etc.

Gallantry Awards
Two types of Gallantry Awards.
Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal (QPM) and President Police Medal (PPM).
The above Gallantry Awards are granted / announced by the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan every year on the occasion of Independence Day i.e 14th August.
All the recommendation for grant of QPM and PPM of Sindh Police Officer/Official complete in all respects must be forwarded to the office of IGP Sindh 30th April in every year and also sent to the Director General National Police Bureau by 31st May in every year.
Civil Awards
Two types of Civil Awards.
Sitara-e-Shujat and Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
The above Civil Awards are announced by the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan once a year i.e on the Independence Day 14th August and the investiture takes place on the Pakistan Day 23rd March.
All the recommendation of Civil Awards of Sindh Police Officer/Official complete in all respects must be reach to the Cabinet Division by 15th April in every year.

The signing ceremony took place at the Police Headquarters in Karachi, graced by Honourable Chief Minister Sindh, Mr. Murad Ali Shah, Honourable Home Minister, Mr. Zia UL Hassan Lanjar, Honourable IGP Sindh, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Memon, and CEO of SLIC, Mr. Shoaib Javed Hussain. The agreement was signed by DIG Establishment, Mr. Naeem Sheikh, and Executive Director of SLIC, Dr. Aftab Imam.
IGP Sindh, remarked, "This partnership highlights the indispensable role of our police officers in maintaining public safety and security. It is imperative that the dedicated men and women police officers have access to comprehensive health insurance coverage, ensuring their well-being as they bravely perform their critical duties. Because those who protect us deserve nothing less than the very best protection."

Under this initiative, each family will receive health insurance coverage worth PKR 1 million per annum, covering inpatient hospitalization and OPD services. Additionally, families can avail cashless inpatient health services at over one thousand empanelled private and public hospitals across Pakistan. To facilitate a smooth transition and utilization of these benefits, State Life will conduct awareness sessions for Sindh Police employees, ensuring they are well-informed about the procedures involved.
This partnership not only highlights SLIC’s commitment to supporting the brave members of the Sindh Police but also reinforces the value of health insurance in protecting their well-being and that of their families.
Health Card Facility / Health Insurance Programme For Sindh Police Jawan
- Health Insurance Limit for each Family is about 1,000,000/- Room Limit Charges for inpatient is Rs.10,000/-
- Maternity Charges for normal delivery maximum limit is Rs.80,000/-
- Maternity Charges for Seizer/Operation maximum limit is Rs.100,000/-
- These facilities covered across Pakistan
- Each Family will have a specific limit of 1,000,000/- (Ten Lac) which can be utilized by any insured member of the family.
- . Major Medical Pool limit upto Ten Lac will be extend in case of life threatening
- In Case of Accident Health insurance limit will be enhance upto 100%
- Health Card Facility covered for Employee, Spouse, Children upto 25 years and parents.
- However disables child have no age limit.
- Daughter who have unmarried + Divorce have no age limit.
- Facility of Health Card:
Facility of Health card only for inpatient Hospitalization, daycare surgeries, Emergency Treatment, ER Treatment (Emergency like Road Accident or other emergency etc..) Special Investigation if prescribed by consultant like MRI/CP/ Endoscopy etc.. Daycare surgery/treatment like Hernia, Cataract surgery, Stone Removal dialysis etc. are covered. (All panels hospital covered this facility, list of Panel hospital will be provided by State Life Authority) - Health Insurance Card will be providing by state life insurance after finalizing the printing process.
- All employee & Family members use Mobile App where all features are available.
- Re-Imbursement allowed for pre/post (30 days before and 30 days after) hospitalization and treatment of non-panel hospital the case will be forwarded through mobile app.

- OPD, Vaccination, Lab Test are not covered.
- Welfare officer of MT/Telecomm: assure that all data of employees in HRMS are correct and data in NADRA may also be rectify by employee himself if any error.
